Cascade to Distribute Enera Automation Software for Automated Callouts, Route Planning and Job Reporting

(Göteborg, Sweden) - Cascade International Technologies, Inc. of Snohomish, WA., has joined with Enera AB of Gothenburg, Sweden, to offer a suite of automation software for more efficient operations in Snow and Ice Control. This software suite is called Winter Road Management System (WRMS) and is comprised of the three modules RapidReach, for automated callouts, WinterPlan, for route planning and optimization of resources, and Call&Report, for automated job reporting via phone, GPS or Intranet. The programs can all be used separately or integrated into one system. Thanks to their modular design, the programs can easily be adapted to every organization.
Automating your callouts with RapidReach dramatically reduces time spent on the phone by dispatchers or supervisors, relieves them from manually making all the calls, and creates a detailed log of who was called when and what their response was. Most importantly, it gets your crews out on your roads faster!
Callout times are reduced to minutes instead of half-hours or hours compared to manual callouts.
Planning your snow and salt routes with WinterPlan often leads to cost savings of 15 to 30 %, based on more efficient plans, reduced dead time, optimal material consumption, and a reduction of vehicles.
Reporting on routes and jobs with Call&Report cuts back on the paperwork and makes the crews work more efficient. This tool can also be used by road inspectors to report on road and surface conditions.
The products have all been developed in close cooperation with the Swedish National Road Administration and are installed in various configurations in Sweden, Norway, and the UK. The RapidReach Callout System has also been installed and used in a US pilot installation in Minnesota.
All programs are 32-bit client/server applications, combining the latest technology in computer telephony, multimedia and geographic/schematic mapping. Advanced network capabilities allow for complex system configuration (i.e. multiple clients, multiple servers, automatic backup, etc.) for most efficient implementation.
