History Cascade International was founded in 1991 for the purpose of providing marketing, sales and support assistance for manufacturers of leading edge automation tools. Our main focus is to assist companies increase their efficiency and productivity in the areas of operations and communications. Organization Cascade accomplishes this goal by maintaining numerous regional sales offices which employ over 30 professional sales and technical staff. They have been selected from the best technical sales engineers in the country. Each sales representative has extensive history and knowledge in selling into both corporate and government markets. They have many years of experience in the fields of Emergency Communications and/or Disaster Recovery. Products and Markets Cascade markets three products manufactured by Enera International AB of Gothenburg, Sweden. These products are divided in two, somewhat separate but interrelated, business areas;
Our primary product is called "RapidReach" - an Automated Notification System (Callout System). RapidReach is used both in Emergency Communications and Winter Road Management. Originally developed for the purpose of calling out snow removal crews during severe weather conditions, the main markets of RapidReach are today far from the snow plows of Sweden. Installed in control rooms, communications centers and dispatch centers in eight countries on three continents, RapidReach is helping industries and governments automating and making their emergency communications faster, more efficient, and easier. Applications are as diverse as calling out emergency teams in the nuclear, petrochemical and chemical industries; staffing emergency rooms and mobile intensive care units in hospitals; Help desk managers notifying computer users of computer or network problems in manufacturing and service industries; assembling Disaster Recovery teams in the financial and insurance industries; calling out and manning fire brigades and emergency planning units in the public sector. The main product in the Winter Road Management area is a geographical map-based tool for route planning, "WinterPlan". Giving the user complete control of creating and revising route plans for plowing, gridding, etc., WinterPlan typically leads to instant cost reductions through a higher degree of efficiency and better utilization of resources. Another tool, "Call&Report", allows for more efficient reporting and monitoring of all road activities and road conditions. Services The sale of technically complex systems neither begins nor ends with a purchase order. Cascade offers a range of pre- and post-sales services, some of which are free of charge. Pre-sales services include analyzing customer requirements and developing specifications. Post-sales services include installation and training. Our installation technicians have developed a thorough expertise over the years of building and structuring plans; whether they are for emergency procedures or for snow routes.
